Our Story

Adam and Melissa have been "Team Hoffman" since 2005 - living our lives in partnership for ministry, discipleship, mobilization, family and teaching. Adam and Melissa Hoffman decided to join together in serving the frontier mission movement through the experience of taking the Perspectives class in 2005 as an engaged couple. They were married and became members of the U.S. Center for World Mission (now Frontier Ventures) within that year. Perspectives is more than a mission course – Adam says that Perspectives was the second most influential discipleship experience, the first being coming to Christ. Adam and Melissa also say that Perspectives was the best pre-marital counseling they went through.

After finishing undergraduate work and raising initial support the Hoffmans moved to Pasadena CA to join with the INSIGHT Program. Melissa served as the INSIGHT National Director, overseeing the existing and new programs until 2012. Adam directed the local Pasadena Program, working with students until 2013, when he took over the National Director position. The time in Pasadena brought to light the gifts, talents and passions of the Hoffmans. They were able to experience mentorship and were developed into confident workers of the kingdom. They say that they earned an unofficial Masters degree in Missiology from their readings, seminars and discussions with the Frontier Ventures community.

In August of 2014, the Hoffmans relocated back to the Raleigh-Durham area of NC becoming the Southeast Perspectives Regional Directors. Now Adam serves as Regional Director for the Southeast and Midsouth regions while Melissa is a part of the training team.

Adam and Melissa have been married since August 2005 and have two great kids: N. & M. Adam has a BA in Psychology and Sociology from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MBA from Northcentral University. Melissa holds a BA in Christian Leadership with a minor in Missions from Palm Beach Atlantic University. View Adam's LinkedIn profile.
