{Hoffman Holla' 2019-4} The Impact of Mobilization

Impact of Mobilization

What is the impact of mobilization? Why is the work with Frontier Ventures and Perspectives valuable?

Our work is focused on increasing Great Commission participaction among all followers of Christ. Yet the end goal is for workers to be sent out into the harvest ( Luke 10:2). How does our work contribute and why don't we just go overseas?

For us, we sensed God saying, yes you can go and by my grace see fruit as people who are on the front lines. It was confirmation of potential additive growth. However we were challenged to think bigger and think broader. What if instead of two people going, we could intentionally stay and send out hundreds! That would be multiplicative growth. Now with Perspectives in particular, we are looking at mobilizing thousands annually into the mission of God. Not just additive or multiplicative growth, but we are seeing exponential growth!

Melissa and I still have a willingness to serve the King in whatever way - including going. But we stand more and more convicted that our gift set and the calling of mobilization propel us into alignment with His direction.

We are preparing Christians for Great Commission participation by providing biblical and practical education on discipling all peoples. Watch this video to see why the work of Perspectives is so important.

Romans 10:13-15

13 "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved 14 How then will they call on him who they have not believed? And how are they to believe in whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!' "

Analogies of Mobilization

If you had 100 people ready for mission where would you send them?
Dr. Ralph Winter (Perspectives and Frontier Ventures founder) was once asked a hypothetical question: "If you had 100 college students ready to engage in mission, how many would you send directly to the field and how many would you have stay to mobilize?" The assumed answer was that a great many would be sent directly overseas since that is an ultimate necessity to implant the gospel where there is no local witness to do it. However, stunningly, Dr. Winter said that he would send zero overseas directly. He would send all 100 college students into the US churches to multiply themselves among the unreached.

What do you do when you have a fire? Would you try to battle the fire with a single bucket or would you wake the firemen to come fight the fire?

Support Update

Praise God for delivering us financially to 85% supported. We need to continue to ask God for 100% and partner well with our community for mobilization-discipleship.
