Our primary role as Regional Directors for Perspectives is to recruit, train, coach, mentor and work with local volunteer coordinators that run the local classes. Without these coordinators and their teams, Perspectives wouldn't exist.
Therefore one of the highlights of our role is training these new coordinators. We take two full days to cast vision with the coordinators, talk about the planning phase of running a Perspectives course. The people who want to become coordinators are there because Perspectives made a huge impact on their life and they want to join the movement and recreate that for others. We love that we get to spend so much face to face time with these new coordinators and build a sense of team together. We are so appreciative of the work they put into running the local classes.
This spring we have three different training events in different locations with the total number of participants approaching 40! God has been truly blessing the region with mobilization desire and influencing people to join with us in mobilizing the Southeast. We are excited to see new Perspectives classes planted and existing classes expanding.
When we first moved back to the Southeast we made a list of key cities that did not have a current Perspectives class. We have been praying and asking God to work in these areas. By God's work, He has raised up leadership in about five of those cities to see a class planted for the first time in a long time. Praise God!
